Updating IBM Firmware for Proxmox VE

I'd like to update my firmware on my IBM server but there is OS options such as RHEL, windows or SUSE. Which distro I should choose for the update installation?

I'm unfamiliar with IBM, yet on other platforms you have the following options:
  • install from the OS (does not work with PVE in 99,999% of the times. You need Ubuntu/Debian support for that)
  • install from a vendor provided update dvd image / iso. Plug in, reboot and boot from the iso
  • install from the management controller
So, maybe try the second or third option.
