I am looking to confirm if we install from the 8.2.1 media and update all the packages
using the Enterprise repositories, is the system taken up to the current 8.2.2 version?

We have purchased a subscription and are just curious about how Proxmox handles different
update scenarios.

Another question, is it okay to update when no-support repos have been involved prior to enterprise
licensing or is it best to scrub and reload?

Thanks!

Yes, updating will get you to the current version.

The issue with non-subscription repositories is that they might be slightly ahead in the package versions compared to the enterprise ones. This is normally not a problem and eventually the enterprise repositories will catch up. At that point you'd have the same packages as if you were on enterprise all along.

IOW, the no-subscription repository might have newer versions (for a while) but not different stuff than enterprise.
