Can you update the kernel to 5.54 for the updated ceph drivers?

If not will proxmox crap itself if I add my own compiled kernel, provided the right options are set?

The next upcoming Ubuntu kernel is as I know the 5.4.

But yes, you can run what kernel you like.

As long as you do not use ZFS, then you'd need to compile that too or maybe try out a DKMS build.

it won't complain but you're in a untested land then.
