I have a problem with really long nvme device names in ZFS pools causing systemd errors. The error is:

Code:
Jun 05 11:44:09 maverick systemd[22172]: zd0p3: Failed to generate unit name from device path: File name too long

A fix was committed to v250, but Proxmox is using v247. Current release of Systemd is v253. Any chance of an update?

Proxmox VE 7 will stay on systemd v247, but Proxmox VE 8 beta shouldn't be that far away (weeks not months), and that will ship v252.

FWIW, if you're a bit bold (i.e., this isn't an important production system, or you can at least manage to do two quick reboots for a downgrade), you could install a newer systemd from Debian Backports, v252 is also available there.
