Unable to take snapshots of VM's

Sorry but still pretty new to this but I am running into an issue when trying to make a snapshot of my Windows 10 VM. I get the error qmp command 'query-savevm' failed - got timeout. any help would be appreciated.

does your storage support snapshots ?

Only certain types of "storage" (where the VM disk images are located) support snapshots. lvm-thin and zfs basically if you are using "local" as opposed to "shared" storage. https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Storage

After installing the guest agent and doing an upgrade to 5.3-5 I am now able to create snapshots. I do get some errors that I will have to look into better.

that read hubg_task_timeout_secs but from what I read this is not an issue with proxmox.
