I am currently part way through the installation using this guide.

I'm at the part where it says to 'Connect to the Proxmox VE web interface' - As I have not created any accounts yet I am attempting to login using the root account with PAM authentication however I keep getting 'Login failed. Please try again'

Have I missed something?

Code:

So it is right when i say you can login in CMD/SSH but not in webinterface? Did you try PAM as realm?

We had similar stange problem when we had an broken NFSshare. Login with Webinterface was not possible anymore. When not, test it with changing the password. Maybe this help.
