Hy Proxmoxers. I'm new to this so bear with me...
I installed Proxmox, setup everything like password and stuff. Rebooted in Windows and tried to log in via web browser but no luck here! Web page says:
This site is unavailable. 192.168.100.2 is taking too long to respond.
Try this:

Check the connection
Check the proxy and firewall
Run Windows Network Check

ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

Please help.

You shouldn't use the default IP that the installer suggests. The IP 192.168.100.2/24 can only be accessed by hosts that are in the same subnet. So only a computer that got a IP 192.168.100.1 or 192.168.100.3 to 192.168.100.254 can access it.
Would be easiest to install it again but then with a free static IP of your routers subnet that is not part of your router DHCP IP-range.

It also suggests that Proxmox did not get an IP address via DHCP from your router. Is the system connected to your router via a network cable?

The Proxmox installer does not setup WiFi, so it's probably not connected. Proxmox does not really support WiFi as most adapters don't support bridge mode. It is possible with NAT but you need so setup WiFi manually.
Ok, then what do you suggest? I don't have a network cable that is over 30 feet long.

Either buy one and route it through the walls/ceiling (depending on local building code) or relocate your Proxmox server (which you manage remotely anyway) closer to the router.

Even if you can get it working with NAT, I still would recommend to buy such a long cable. A server should be reliable and wifi is very unreliable. Latencies might be bad, it might randomly lose the connection, you might encounter performance problems, packets get lost and finally it isn't great from security standpoint, adding new attack vectors.

You could use a Homeplug type connection which uses the Mains wiring to make a connection. I connect to my ProxMox server in the garage this way. Not Max speed, but more than adequate.
