I try to do same thing linux vm and it works as expected.

This happen in all Win machine (this vm came from Hyperv/ESXi).

Later I try to create a vm on win from scratch.

Which is the best version of VirtIO?

Great! It works.

So now I need to understand how can setup all win machine using SCSI. The test machine when I change form ide to scsi is not possibile to start.

I rollback on ide only boot disk and windows start. Looking on Disk Manger and SCSI disk it was off line, do you know a way to put disk online by default?

1.add a scsi hdd.
2. install the scsi drivers . (virtio-win.xxxx.iso ,download from https://fedorapeople.org/groups/virt/virtio-win/direct-downloads/archive-virtio).
3. stop vm .
4. edit vm config files (/etc/pve/qemu_server/vid.conf)
modify ide(or sata) to scsi ( ie : ide0 -- > scsi0 , sata0 ---> scsi0 )
5. start vm

Hi

I folow your step and it works.

In my case I've already installed SCSI diver but Windows not start to load when chage from ATA/SATA -> to SCSI so system doesn't start. After add a disk to SCSI, reboot machine, I can see the disk off-line I put it online so after that I can remove it and set first (bootable disk) to SCSI controller and boot work as before.

Thank you so much you save me a lot of time!
