I've searched and searched. I am running Proxmox VE 7.0-8. When I try to create a virtual drive I get this error:

Code:
WARNING: dos signature detected on /dev/local-lun/vm-100-disk-0 at offset 510. Wipe it? [y/n]: [n]
Aborted wiping of dos.
1 existing signature left on the device.
Failed to wipe signatures on logical volume local-lun/vm-100-disk-0.
TASK ERROR: unable to create VM 100 - lvcreate 'local-lun/vm-100-disk-0' error: Aborting. Failed to wipe start of new LV.

I do have a handful of VMs with drives I was able to create before I ran into this, however, local-lun/vm-100-disk-0 does not exist so I feel like this could be a bug. Also if instead, I created a VM 105 or 140 or whatever the number is I get the exact same error. I am able to create the drive on a NFS remove storage but not on my lvm storage.

Hi,

Thank you for the output of pveversion

Please upgrade your host to the latest version of PVE, and try again. - if that does not help please provide us with the configuration of VM

Thank you, I thought I had the latest but I found my repositories wasn't right. It looks like the issue is now resolved.

Glad that you solve your issue :)

it was a bug in the libpve-storage-perl: 7.0-7 package that has been already solved.

I'll go ahead and make this thread as [SOLVED] to help other people that have the same issue :)
