Unable to backup to ssd & hdd drives

Hi

As a newbie to proxmox I followed some videos on how to install extra drives for backup etc the drives are showing under PVE/ datacenter as drives 1&2 , however , theyonly show that disk images and containers not storage I was hoping that i could backup and images to them . I have attached screenshots which may help to see my problem and where i am going wrong.

Any help would be appreciated?

Did you just create the LVM or VGs (volume group) and LVs (logical volume) too? You should add a VG to the LVM and a LV to that VG, format the LV with the filesystem of your choice (ext4 for example) and add the mountpoint of your LV as a "Directory" storage. For directory storages you can then set the content type to "vzdump" to be albe to store backups there.
