Hi,
I'm currently evaluating Proxmox Datacenter Manager (PDM) and trying to add a remote PVE cluster located in a completely different network. The cluster is exposed via Nginx Proxy Manager. The PVE API itself is reachable through the proxy.

- Proxmox Datacenter Manager 1.1.7
- Installed in a separate network
- No VPN between PDM and the remote cluster
- Adding the remote in PDM fails with:
error (status = 400:
connection failed:
client error (Connect))
Q: Does PDM need currently direct network connectivity to all cluster nodes after the initial remote connection is established?
The expectation would be that a cluster can be managed remotely through a single public API endpoint without requiring Layer-3 connectivity to the cluster network.
If direct node connectivity or a VPN is required, what is the intended use case for the Remote feature?
