Unable to add back a Datastore

When we moved, I misplace an external hard drive used for backups with the Proxmox backup server, and so I deleted it from proxmox storage, when we got home
I found the drive and it show in the Datastore and can view the contents now am trying to readd it to the proxmox ve, I can see all the connection info for the drive and try to use it but the system gives the following error

create storage failed: Backup: error fetching datastores - 400 Bad Request (500)

any suggestions

Proxmox VE: 9.1.4
Backup server 3.4.0

EDIT: Dit you add back the Datastore in the PBS side ? with "Avdanced" tick to reveal "Reusing existing datastore"

Not sure I follow your instructions, I don't see the Advanced tab

If you plug in your external drive and mount it to some location such as /mnt/external and then put in the backing path as that location and then tick the Resuse existing datastore option, instead of rebuilding the datastore from scratch it will just add it.

Backup server 3.4.0 this might be the issue, that button didn't exist on this version and I think it only appeared in V4 of PBS.
