Hi,

I have setup PVE with CIDR (10.0.1.10/22) and gateway of 10.0.0.1 on vmbr0, and running a Opnsense with vmbr0 as LAN with the same CIDR (10.0.0.1/22) size.

When connecting a laptop to the physical lan, DHCP configed my subnet mask as 255.255.252.0. I can access Opnsense web GUI with this mask but not PVE. However, if I override the mask to 255.255.254.0, I can access PVE again.

Updating PVE IP to 10.0.3.10 makes it accessible with 255.255.252.0 mask.

Issue doesn't seems to be Opnsense related as a fresh install without Opnsense can replicate the same issue.

Any insights into how to solve this issue? TIA

Hi,

can you please provide the output of ip a and ip r for the PVE host and your client (alternatively ipconfig /all if you are on Windows)
