Hello.
I have an ubuntu VPS server running with 10gb of ram and 8cores in KVM64.

After some hours the vm became slow with slow network speed.
In the proxmox vps summary I see that the ram is completely used also if the vps is quite without any connection or active job.

If I restart the Vps the used ram is around 30% and is really fast. Can be the NUMA on setup that slow the full vps?

Thank you.

Hi

If you have multiple NUMA yes it can slow down VM.
You can use numastat for investigation of the memory spreading.
But I guess it is another problem.

Thank you wolfgang,
disabling numa and assigning 8 queques to the virtio ethernet card the upload speed is better but the ram usage from the proxmox summary remain around the 90%.

I know that can be normal to see full ram usage, because the linux host will occupy all the available ram...
I will monitor for the next 48hours
