Ubuntu Container - No Internet

Running into a strange problem. I currently just have one VM running Ubuntu. No networking issues to speak of there.

I tried to run an Ubuntu container, but when I ssh in and ping google.com, I get "unknown host." This happens on both 16.04 and 18.04 container templates.

I do not have this problem with alpine or centos templates. Any ideas? I'm very new to proxmox and networking in general, but I'll be glad to post the contents of anything requested.

Thanks.

Not sure if this is an obvious thing, but the fix was to assign an IP to the container during creation. Not sure why I didn't have to do it with the other templates (alpine and centos), but maybe Ubuntu is different.
