Dear forum members:

At the installation of Ubuntu-24.10 Desktop from an iso file in Proxmox as follows:
  1. Upload the iso to the storage.
  2. Create the VM.
  3. Boot the VM from the iso.
  4. Install Ubuntu Desktop and set up credentials.
  5. Reboot VM after removing iso.
I am getting a login error. The credentials I've set up at the installation part are not working. I've ensured that caps were not locked, and the username and password are correct. But still, I cannot login into the Ubuntu vm.

Do you know if that version of Ubuntu is supported or if there is any kind of bug

Many thanks in advance!

Just tested your problem with fresh ubuntu2410desktop vm installation (on pve 8.3.3 cluster) and login, internet, sudo etc all works.
Maybe your inst. or iso is corrupt or you maybe selected wrong keyboard on installation.

Hello!

The error was because I used "deafult" as user and password and seems like Ubuntu does not like that. After using other credentials it worked perfectly.

Thank you!
