hello I
i would try to create a node with two proxmox now I have two node standalone proxmox the first question is:
The first node is operational and has several working VMs while the other has no VM yet.
I would like to rename the two hosts in a logical way example:
proxmox1
proxmox2

1) How I can change Hostname without crash pve-manager, becouse when i tried to change the name pve-manger didn't start anymore.
 
Hey,

you have to change the name in /etc/hostname and /etc/hosts. Then reboot once.

EDIT: this has to be done before you put them into a cluster.

I tryed to rename as your suggestion. but after restar I created a second node with the correct name but all the vm was with the interobjective dot
