Hail to all ProxMox VE community members!
I'm co-founder for the TurnKey Linux Virtual Appliance Library posting here on the ProxMox forums for the first time.
We have a couple of important community members (<cough>JedMeister</cough>) that really like ProxMox VE (and OpenVZ) and have been preaching us to get our act together and put resources behind official support for OpenVZ / ProxMox.
So recently we did just that and started officially providing all TurnKey Linux appliances in the OpenVZ container format.
We also whipped up a simple patch to ProxMox VE 1.9 that adds a turn-key TurnKey channel. Once you apply the patch deploying TurnKey into ProxMox is fully automatic. It even downloads the right image from SourceForge. We're looking forward to work with the ProxMox development community to get this functionality into the next major version of ProxMox (fingers crossed). There's also some discussion on further supporting ProxMox by providing a TurnKey ProxMox appliance pre-configured with the new TurnKey channel and all that jazz (maybe in the next release).
Anyhow, read the blog post announcement for details:
