Trying to boot into Proxmox VE disc - but only get a black screen

I burned the ISO to a blank DVD. THen I tried booting into the DVD and all I see is a black screen with a flashing cursor. I left it for 30 minutes and nothing changed.

Is this a common issue? I don't even get to the part when I press ENTER.

Update: I just checked the MD5 sums and they match.
Update: I'm now downloading 3.1 (instead of 3.3) and trying that....nope still the same screen.

You can try install Debian first and then install pve - https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_Wheezy
I tried 3.3. month ago and it was working.
