Hi guys,

I'm testing proxmox for my work, got it installed and made my first VM.
Now I want to get my proxmox server on our local network, on a 10.10.1 subnet in this case.
before I just used the standard IP at the setup of proxmox, got it directly connected with a ethernet cable to my laptop, changed the ipv4 config of the ethernet adapter and then got access to the GUI.
I've changed the 1st bridge network configuration through the GUI, but now I can't access the GUI from the new IP.

when pinging my laptop from the cli of proxmox I got the reply: destination host unreachable.

It's a dell mini desktop pc with proxmox installed on it, connected through the wall ethernet jack of the company.

I'm relatively new in the IT world, still learning new things every day. For this I've searched a lot on google, reddit with no success.
So if someone can help me with this, that'd be nice.

Network config is stored in /etc/network/interfaces, /etc/resolv.conf and /etc/hosts. You could connect a keyboard+display to the server, log in as root and fix IPs/domain names/interfaces in those files as needed with the text editor of your choice (I prefer "nano").

Thank you for your response. I managed to change the necessary IP configuration and now I can ping my proxmox server. But unfortunately I still can't get access to the GUI. The port number 8006 isn't blocked on our firewall, I have already checked that. What kind of troubleshooting should I do next?
At least I'm now a step further with solving the problem!
