TrueNAS SCALE SMB Share and ProxMox VM

ProxMox users, developers, et alia:

I created an SMB share on a TrueNAS SCALE server and initiated the installation of a ProxMox VM onto it. About 30% of the way through I got an io-error and some yellow triangle.

Has anyone seen any kind of issues like this and what are the best logs to review for this error?

Well after clicking around and digging through that post it seems that when I deleted the disk and recreated it. However, this time the "Async IO" setting (towards the bottom) was switched from "Default (io_uring)" to "native". Thereafter, functionality was far more pleasantly pronounced!

Incidentally, the post speaks to earlier PVE versions than 7.2-11 (the version I am running), so the issue seems to still remain persistent notwithstanding an upgrade to the latest version.
