[SOLVED] Trouble with network connectivity

I bought a new server and have been struggling with the networking situation, probably because of my lack of understanding. I've read all the documentation and was up until late last night trying to get it back online after making some network changes. I have a server with 2 x 10G ports and 2 x 1G ports. I only have one port left on my 10G switch and I want to use that, but Proxmox will only allow me to use a single 1G port. I also want to have one port and bridge on VLAN 40 and another on VLAN 8 bonded. However, only one port seems to be working. How do I add a network adapter and is it possible for me to decide which port is used as my primary management and bridge port (i.e. the 10G port)?

I can confirm there are no hardware issues related to the ports because before I put on Proxmox I installed Ubuntu and all the ports were seen. 3 of the 4 MAC addresses that say they're up in iDRAC are showing that they were given leases when I search for them by the MAC address.

Update - I read that the ports should just activate unless there is a HW problem, but apparently autostart needs to be ticked in order to activate the port.
