Trouble while replacing failed HDD - replacing in mirror

So i did follow standard procedure for replacing the failed HDD in mirror. And got into this trouble. It is said it is replacing (and resilvering), but it also said it is insuficient replica. Though it is replacing from the other mirror pair . Any ideas? The data are ok ... i am running VMs on that mirror without problem. Should I try the replace command again?

It seems that the disk which is meant as replacement is also experiencing some hardware issues.

-> check `dmesg` whether there are messages from the kernel related to the errors

based on the pool name (slowHDD18TB ) - I'd like to ask what kind of disks are used in the pool - because SMR drives do not work (well) in a ZFS setting - and this shows especially during scrubbing and resilvering

finally - check for issues with cables (or replace them to be on the safe side) and the powersupply - as those components can also lead to such errors

Seagate Exos X20 20TB SATA - should not be SMR .... I will replace cables and can add stronger power source.

After replacing cable it is even worse (but not sure if it is related) ... so I will increase teh power source

It is coming from somewhere. Your memory isn't ECC, so technically it can be part oft what you are seeing..
I think it is unlikely but if everything is out of the game a memcheck might be worth it.

Also you can try to detach all disks from that particular mirror and re-attaching them.
In mirrored vdevs that works.
