trouble uploading subscription key after re-installation

recently had to reinstall proxmox ve to my server - now there is not the "enter subscription key" tab on my host - under "subscriptions" section on my host (self hosting) it just says "no subscription" with a big red "x" and underneath it reads "you have at lease one node without a subscription"

has anyone experienced this before?

from your description it sounds like you forgot to reissue your license? To do so, you can follow the steps outlined on our website [1].
