I am attempting to use Proxmox to install Windows 11 and MacOS on a computer. I have a new system but Proxmox does not recognise the Realtek network interface on the ROG STRIX X870E motherboard. The information I have seen appears to have a Catch 22 in that fixing the problem requires a working network interface. I would very much appreciate a means of installing Proxmox and it recognizing the network interface.

Thank you in advance.

Hello pvford! The motherboard you mentioned has Wi-Fi, so you can try to use it to update your system and download the Realtek driver. There's a short guide in the Proxmox VE wiki about setting up Wi-Fi. Alternatively, you can also use another network card (either internal, or an external USB card) just for downloading the correct driver.
