Transfer PMG install from one server to another

I have a running PNG running as a Hyper-V VM. Now I will use a VM from my upstream provider. It ist no problem to setup a new system with a new PMG. But how can I get all the configuration from my running system to the new one. Can I just copy all necessary files from the current system to the new one?
What should I copy? I assume I need /etc/pmg but what else do I need?

you could create a backup and restore it on the new system. Check the docs:

Sorry for my late response - I felt sick and was not able to look to a monitor.
