TPM Errors

Hi,

I'm getting these errors on a PBS server installed on bare metal. It is an older system that was retired from VM hosting and pushed into backup duty. Everything seems to be working fine but it's filling my logs and I'd like to figure out why.

Supermicro 6027R W/ X9DRI-LN4F+
2U
256Gb ram
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650 v2 @ 2.60GHz (2 Sockets)
6 x LFF drives running on SATA (12 bays)
LSI 9305-16i
Backplane (BPN-SAS3-826EL)
2 x M2 SATA boot drives (AIC)

Anyone know what might be causing these errors and/or how to resolve them?

Hi,

it's from the physical TPM, which probably you don't use anyway?
Probably stems from some buggy firmware and the kernel not having a quirk/workaround for that - you can try updating your motherboards firmware/UEFI and the kernel, maybe it goes away.

In any case, should be safe to ignore.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I disabled the TPM in BIOS and there was a weird issue at login (no realms available) but either letting it sit for a minute or SSH-ing in and running proxmox-backup-manager user list fixed that.

Haven't seen any more errors so far.
