Hello, I have the following question: I have Proxmox running with two VMs and an LXC and would now like to set up a two node cluster.
What happens to my VMs and LXC? Do I have to set them up again or will they stay?
1. VM Nginx Proxy Manager
2. VM Nextcloud AIO
3. LXC Teamspeak Server
Proxmox VE 8.04, Backup NFS; Data ZFS disk image; local-lvm LVM-Thin

Greetings Werner

Probably you know the documentation: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#chapter_pvecm

You should know the problems rising with two nodes. Look for the magic keyword: "QDevice"

You can create the cluster on that hardware node which has already VMs/Containers without any loss. (Of course a backup is recommended before applying so basic modifications.)

Then you can add the second (third, fourth,...) hardware node. Usually after fresh installation of PVE with ZERO VMs/LXC present on these additional nodes.

The VMs/LXC on the "old"/first node will continue to run.

Have fun :-)
