Hi,

I use a cluster with two hosts.

I had added totp to my root user, which works just fine if both hosts in the Cluster are online. However if one of the Hosts is in a downtime, after entering username and password I get "Login failed" without the prompt to enter totp. It doesn't matter which one of the hosts is unavailable, as soon as one is gone, totp does not work anymore.

Any idea why this is the case and what I can do to still be able to login if one of the hosts is offline?

thanks.

Yes, your cluster need to have quorum.

You can set expected votes to 1 if you know (by sure) that the other host is offline:
