Hello

I have a node installed with 6.0 booted using grub with no 512M partition

sda 8:0 0 1.8T 0 disk
├─sda1 8:1 0 1007K 0 part
├─sda2 8:2 0 1.8T 0 part zfs_member
└─sda9 8:9 0 8M 0 part

Is there a way to reduce sda2 to add a 512M partition whithout having to erase sda data?

From my readings about ZFS it seems challenging

thanks

It’s “possible”, but a clean install with a new partition layout for the EFI ESP partition will be safer, faster, and easier.
hi interesting but as you say it is possible do you know how as i cannot afford to do a clean install, I have to make it "in-place"

thanks

Just curious, when you say "in-place", do you mean it can't have downtime or be taken out of production? It isn't possible to resize and edit the partitions without booting into a live ISO. You will spend more time editing the existing install compared to re-installing. What is the barrier that requires it being "in place"?

Hi

No problem to have some "short" downtime but I would like to avoid reinstalling all the containers.

Ideally some CLI at host root level.

thanks
