TimeOut Proxmox Virtual Environment 1.7

Hi All,

I've Installed new Proxmox Virtual Environment 1.7
Now my Problem ist that sometimes per Day, 3-4 Times the hole Environment Timeouts for 4Min 59sec.

1. Correct Time with ntpdate and sync with hwclock. Success
2. Now there are this Timeouts and allways hwclock and NTP is 5min. delayed!?
- 2011-01-26 08:13:00notifVIP server 192.168.10.50 is now alive. VW Guest
- 2011-01-26 08:13:00notifVIP server 192.168.10.51 is now alive. Env. 1.7
- 2011-01-26 08:08:01critVIP server 192.168.10.51 cannot be contacted. VW Guest
- 2011-01-26 08:08:01critVIP server 192.168.10.50 cannot be contacted. Env. 1.7
- Logs from Firewall! The Servers dont booting only the Network is down.

Same Hardware and VM's with Proxmox Env. 1.5 without any Problems!? If no one has this Problems i go back to 1.5!

In the Kernel Log i found this:

- set_rtc_mmss: can't update from 3 to 58 (maybe it means that ntpd fails, and this error is before the Systems Timeout)

Any Idea?

Problem Solved

Problem:
- Sometimes WAN NTP Server not reachable (Logs from Proxmox)

After this proxmox hangs for 4:59Min. and the Time is Delayed

Fix:
- Set-up Own NTP Server in the LAN
