Time zone differs in graphs and logs in PVE web gui

Hello,

it's been ages since I saw this first time (I believe it was on 1.8), and yet today, on 3.3, it's still there.

When I use PVE web gui I see graphs in server's time zone, while logs below - in my local. If server is near me (that's in my TZ) then these timestamps are the same so no problem, but if you need to administer PVE that's rally far from you it is a bit of fuzzy to understand what and when happened.

Say, right now I'm working with server that's 4 hours in TZ difference away from me. While I see all of my actions in the log properly time marked, the graphs show me that it is "now+4hrs" moment, and I have to recalculate what given me the spike on graph: if it was another huge VM started at that very moment, or it was some memory-hungry application that was started on VM in question. Logs and graphs are also won't display TZ used so there is no clue to get TZ difference idea.

I;ve attached picture that'll say more than me: note highlighted log "Start time" (08:22) and graph rightmost time label (looks like almost an extra hour to the right from the 12:30).

Is there any way to show both graphs and logs in the same (I'd prefer server's one) TZ?

Wish to say I have some "custom" PVE but no, mine is a standart too.

I'm pretty interesting how can I only restart graph module without restarting whole host, just to check.

you can restart all related pve daemons:

# service pve-cluster restart
# service pvedaemon restart
# service pvestatd restart
# service pveproxy restart

Hi, I observe the same problem (8 1/2 years after this was raised). I just installed a fresh Proxmox, during the installation I chose time zone US/Chicago - the server shows the time correctly. In the web UI, the time is one hour ahead.ServerConsole.png

I found the issue myself: In case somebody else faces this - check the timezone configuration on your client machine (the one the web browser runs on)

Noticed this today after traveling to another timezone, but for some reason either the browser or the WebGUI decided it didn't know my timezone so it set GMT (UTC). If I override using Inspect Element > Three Dots > More Tools > Sensors > Override (pick a city as an example or set custom), then select a different node or guest and the graph reset to the selected TimeZone. I believe it's a browser issue.
