Hi there all,
I'm witnessing a rather singular throughput difference between restoring a backup from a CIFS mount or an NFS mount (on the same storage target).
Both of these network shares are different although backed up by the same box. I'm crossing an IPsec tunnel to reach that box, all fine here.
On CIFS i'm maxing out the pipe with 230 Mbp/s
On NFS though, I'm fixed at 60Mbp/s
Sounds honestly like a configuration issue. I'm defo not excluding the NFS server itself.
Ahh yes, i'm talking here about vzdump's from the PVE stand point in either backup or restore.
Thanks for your knowledge,
Kind regards,
m.
