Are there any third party VM backup tools for Proxmox?

Thanks

Why do you need third party tools for backup your VMs?
If you want to use any command line tools, you could use "vzdump" to create backups. More you can read on the wiki: http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Backup_and_Restore

And theres the rub :) I'm comfortable with the cmd lines tools but:

- I lack time to tweak and monitor scripted setups

- I need reporting, verification and testing of backups

- They need to be easily modifiable/retrievable for non command line people beside myself to work with.

Thanks.

Then use the integrated backup function in Proxmox and let the backups upload in a SAMBA share (or something like this), where your people can access it.

Does the proxmox backup tool (vzdump) do deduplication or compression?

And thanks Udo, guest based backup is certainly an option.
