the difference between OK and Passed in SMART

SMART data in general is (in parts, at least) very vendor-specific - such as in this case.
Some vendors report "OK", others "PASSED". So both should be fine.
But I would still recommend to always check the other attributes too, as the overall status might not be accurate/reliable.
You can also consult the vendor directly and/or their documentation, sometimes they provide more detailed information.
Also, IIRC, especially the Samsung 990 series has a history of bad firmware. So I'd also update that if it wasn't yet.
