This morning I had a scheduled PVE hardware upgrade planned.

The plan was to move PVE OS disk + local data disk from an aging system (A) to a temporary system (B), in preparation for new faster disks + RAID being installed on (A).

I just plugged the (A) disks in (B), booted and... it works. Now I have a couple of extra hours in my schedule to focus on the upgrades :)

Thanks to everyone involved in Proxmox VE, we often hear of problems here so I thought I'd share my experience today, a small victory that would otherwise go unnoticed.

Now I need to re-issue those support keys :)
 
Thank you very much for sharing this. I recently argued about the inverse survivors bias with respect to not having problems with PVE and not hearing about it in another thread in this forum, so thank's again for strengthening my argument.
