Terrible IO Performance since Proxmox 7.4

Hey everyone,

I got some weird issues now on multiple servers here. The Problem is that my IO Load is high in 25% - 80% and the write Speed on the SSDs are ~20 MByte/s. I noticed it now that I reinstalled it on a server running pve 6.3 and upgraded to 7.4. Proxmox was always installed on ZFS Mirror.

What can I do ti double check it and see if this is really an issue or not? this slow performance on another cluser with three nodes (where all nodes behave the same) looks to me that either I misconfifured something on the install (I only disabled complression on the rpool) or there is a bug leading to this. So any advice to debug this (like benchmarks, logs etc) would be helpful :)

Cheers!

I bet on burned ssd by zfs because not recommended datacenter ssd used.
What ssd model ?

They are several SSDs, but its true, not datacenter SSDs, that were consumer SSDs from old Lenovo Notebooks. But I'm not quite sure, is was from one day to another on 4 different machines after the update

you can try another Async IO setting from Hardware VM settings, from Default io_uring to threads.
but the root problem is zfs write too continuously data on ssd.
i hope pve installer add a popup warning to prevent zfs require datacenter ssd.
there are many topics about that.
