Template migration and cloudinit "Regenerate image"

Good day,

I found that I could create a cloudinit image as per documentation without hiccups, and then make that a template which I could clone with a username and ssh keys with no problem.
However, the moment I migrate that template (replication option or not) I need to hit the "Regenerate Image" button in the GUI, else I can't clone the newly migrated template.

Q1: How do I do that "Regenerate Image" option via a CLI/pvesh command?
Q2: If I use the cicustom= snippets on a shared storage, will I still have this problem of the migrated template not cloning without hitting the "Regenerate Image" button?

What's the error message you get when trying to migrate the template? And an issue with cloning and cloud-init was fixed in qemu-server 6.2-16, please consider upgrading to the latest version.

I had it "lock up" ie, just doing nothing when the cloudinit was not generated after a migration (which didn't migrate the cloudinit disk)

That sounds strange, but please update to the latest version and try it again. In qemu-server 6.2-16 an issue related to nonexistent cloud-init disks (e.g. after a migration) was fixed.

Yes, that seems to fix it :)
