Hi all,

having an alarm showing that the mon of one of my ceph hosts has a little space left I've checked the disk. It shows me the files syslog and syslog.1 as well as deamon.log and deamon.log.1 have grown over 15 GB .. The question is
- why both the .1 files were not zipped to a gz-file
- how can I reduce the file sizes generally or prevent them growing so large?

Thanks in advance and kind regards,
Sergei

Analyze what is written there (often errors) and fix them.
Yes, there is a lot of the same message:

ovs-appctl: ovs|00001|daemon_unix|WARN|/var/run/openswitch/ovs-vswitchd.pid: open: No such file or directory

Strange to me as I don't use OVS in my Proxmox-Setup at all. Only Linux Bridges and Linux VLANs.
Any Idea?
