Synchronised backup

I tried to synchronise two backups by adding two snapshot backups of two virtual machines in the same host at the same time.
But vmbackup is still waiting for the first one to complete. Is it possible to "synchronise" a backup?

We only run a single backup job at a time, so that is not possible.
