Please tell me what setting Max depth is responsible for.

We want to merge part of the backups, for example, for the last 5 days, to another PBS server, tell me how this can be done.

Hi,
max-depth will define how deep to sync in case of nested namespaces, see https://pbs.proxmox.com/docs/managing-remotes.html#sync-jobs

You however want the Transfer Last, located in the Advanced Options to sync e.g. the last 5 backups for a snapshot group.
