Hi,

We're evaluating Proxmox but hit some IPv6 bugs, mainly the one as described in http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/21218-Proxmox-VE-IPv6-Problems
But now i'm wondering what is supported and what not?

- Stock kernel 2.6.32-147 does not work
- From the pvetest repo 2.6.32-156 seems to work ok
- From Debian backports repo 3.16.0 seems to works ok (we don't need OpenVZ)

Do you provide support on those test kernels? Or when would a pvetest kernel go into the supported repo? Or can we use the pve 3.10 Jessie kernel?

I assume currently the only supported solution is one with broken v6 which is absolutely a no-go for us, so just wondering what to expect :)

Thanks;
Geert

this one is outdated.

this kernel is latest stable and the way to go (not only in pvetest).

if you do not need openvz, you can try our 3.10 kernel branch (based on RHEL7). known to work great.
(apt-get install pve-kernel-3.10.0-10-pve). we do not recommend or support Debian kernels.

Ok great thanks. I've installed from proxmox-ve_3.4-3f2d890e-1.iso and that contains the -147.
We don't have access (yet) on enterprise.proxmox.com, the latest available at download.proxmox.com/debian/dists/wheezy/pve/binary-amd64/ is -114 and the v6 fix was applied in -149 so I had no other option than using the pvetest repo.

This is actually a question we have. Is this officially supported? E.g. if we buy a subscription can we install the pve-kernel-3.10 and still be in a "supported situation"?
