Hi,

in another thread I wrote about my new setup.

Now while installing the Proxmox installer does not see my Samsung 860 EVO M.2 drive where I wish to install Proxmox. I guess the root issue comes from the Bios not seeing the M2 drive?

I am new to Supermicro (only have experience from more mainstream / gamer boards) and there seems to be many more settings in the Supermicro Bios. Can anyone here help on this? Of course could also be that I should approach a Supermicro forum instead...:)

Thanks!

Very strange - I did that change in the settings. The drive does not show up.

I tried to add the drive to my main pc and it showed up. So the drive is working...

...will try further...

I told you to get some 981a ;)
But I also think that 860 evo should work with this generation of boards ...

I know - it is still not a 981a...but I have a Transcend MTS830S 250GB M2....

Guess what....that still does not show up. What can it be in the BIOS that I am missing...?

OK - next plan. I have a 2.5" SSD in my NUC - I will use that as my Proxmox disk...should be just fine. (until I eventually one day get a 981a :))
