suggestions whether to use hardware raid or ZFS software raid

Greetings to all,
I would like to try and study Proxmox on a hardware on which I want to migrate servers in production in the future.
I have a DELL server with hardware RAID now my doubt is whether to take advantage of this or the software raid offered with ZFS.
Regarding RAM resources to take advantage of ZFS I should have no problem and hardware RAID is good.

Can you give me some indication of what the key points to take into consideration when making my choice?

Hi, they are all SSDs (SATA 6Gbps).
The idea was two smaller disks in raid 1 for Proxmox and the remaining 5 disks always SSD 960GB in RAID 5 for the virtual machines. The load is low we start with 1 database and application server, 1 file server and 1 domain controller.
The server is a DELL PowerEdge R450 with RAID PERC H755 card, also the RAM is more than enough if I remember correctly 128 GB.
