Team,

Is the community and basic subscription supported on consumer hardware?
Like for example an Asus TUF B550-Pro system board?

i run a sub on a chinese mini-pc.
pve is basically just linux. it will run on almost anything.
and the cheap subsciptions are basically only for supporting the company financially as they offer just forum support (at least mine does).

there is no differentiation between enterprise equipment and desktop-equipment.

Technically you are right. And yes - the community subscription relies on community support.
But what about the basic subscription?

there should not be any issue getting support on consumer hardware.
under https://www.proxmox.com/en/proxmox-virtual-environment/requirements there is no specific hardware listed (other than the recommendation for server-hardware for production-environments) and there is no hardware compatibility list i know of.
so as long as your hardware fulfills the requirements listed there, you will get support if you have a subscription.

Proxmox does not require specific hardware to get support from them.

We are a Proxmox Partner and also do not require specific hardware. Some partners might.

Of course, better hardware is usually better :-)

Proxmox is the seller - hence the question in this forum:
https://www.proxmox.com/en/proxmox-virtual-environment/pricing

Or am I missing something?
I intended to suggest contacting the webshop or sales department directly: https://shop.proxmox.com/submitticket.php?step=2&deptid=1
We can all guess for as long as we want here, but if you contact them (with the concrete hardware specs), they (the sellers of the support subscription) can give you the final answer.
