I installed Proxmox 8.3.4 the other day using the 8.3 iso installer and had some issues at first since I was using Ventoy so I ended up adding the `nomodeset` option as suggested in other threads and I was able to install just fine. Last night, I restarted the computer and am now stuck at the "Loading initial ramdisk" screen. I found a few threads that suggested looking in `/etc/default/grub.d/installer.cfg` to make sure the line only said `GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="$GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX"` or `GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="$GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX nomodeset"`. I tried with both and then also running the `update-grub` command but im still stuck. The only thing that I've done that could cause the issue was running an OSX script so i can run macos which was run right before the reboot.

My system:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5600x
64 GB RAM
Video: GEFORCE RTX 3080
Motherboard: ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING

does the system actually not boot, or do you "just" have no graphic output on the screen?

The system would not boot. I was seeing the same screen as what's posted in this thread. I troubleshot this for around 6 hours and decided to just start over. This time, I didn't use ventoy. I had to add "nomodeset" again but after that, it was smooth sailing.
