Storage replication question.

Ovh had an interruption 3 days ago for about 2 hours. So I plan to get a new server from hetzner and do a storage replication between ovh and hetzner. But interruption was on network level meaning server was up and running but was not reacable from internet. So If I make storage replication, will replication server at hetzner able to respond in case main server is not reachable from internet? Or will I have to add 2 more name servers to domains for replication server at hetzner servers ip. Also do you see any issue wtih this plan?
( Ovh and hetzner is two different datacenters in case you have not heard )

For storage replication you need configuration cluster, however this is not possible over Internet, because your servers are need to be in the same broadcast domain: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Cluster_Manager#_requirements

Sad to hear that. Why does not it use broadcast?

you can configure your cluster to use unicast, it should work for small cluster. (depend on latency)

You can use pve-zsync for remote replication. It does not require a cluster.
You should also avoid kvm with two or more disks in the same file system, because snapshots would not be consistent.
