I have a rather rudimentary question but can't figure out. Storage for my proxmox vms and efi disks are stored on my single synology server. The vms themselves are on an ssd drive on the proxmox server. However, every time there is a hiccup with my synology box, all the vms are not bootable or available. Is there a way to point the vms to another storage backend when the primary is not available? Or am i looking at this all wrong?

As far as I know there is no such function in PVE. If someone wants a shared storage with failover/HA I guess you get 4 nodes and use CEPH for that.
