I've built a new homelab server which I'm going to run Proxmox on.
Mostly for a Kubernetes playground.
But I'm stuck on storage, and can't seem to move past it, brain is completely frozen.
The server has:
'3x WD Black nvme 1TB
1x WD Red nvme 1TB
4x WD Red Plus 4TB (rust)
90% of the content is stuff I don't care about or can easily recreate.
The 10% I do care about is going to be backed up most likely to B2.
I want to be reasonable tolerant against downtime, but I'll be going 100% IaC (ansible, terraform, etc).
So most things should be recreatable within a reasonable timeframe.
So I value storage capacity quite high.
Specs are:
ASUS Prime Z690-A
Kingston 64GB (2x 32GB) DDR5 5200MHz CL40 FURY
Intel Core i5 13400 2.5 GHz 29.5MB
How would you setup storage etc. given the above?
I had some idea about the WD Red nvme being a cache (high TBW).
