Hello everyone,
I am starting out in the Proxmox 9.1 field and coming from VMware, I am a bit lost... To begin with, I have a cluster to create with 2 Lenovo SR650 hosts, 480 GB NVMe SSDs, and an 18TB Lenovo DE2000h SAS storage array. I would like to create storage on my array that can be shared between the two hosts and be able to migrate VMs between hosts. For backups, I have a Veeam V13 server. What is the best type of storage in my case? Thanks in advance and sorry if this has already been discussed.
Best regard,
Eric

Thank you all for the information. Another question: what type of RAID should I choose for my bay Lenovo DE2000h?

Thank you, I have 8 disks of 2.4TB and I would like good performance and a spare. So a RAID6 or 5 would satisfy me, I think.

Hello, Yes I have read it but I cannot stay without redundancy.....So what is the best choice between performance and losing everything....
Thanks!

Raid10 it is, multiple mirrors of two disks.

Plus regularly (usually daily) backups, of course.
